Felting is a process of laying out clean wool, which can be combined with other fibres, agitated with hot water and soap to become matted and entwined to create a textile fabric.

Nuno felting is done where wool is placed on a natural textile, e.g. silk, cotton and worked into the weave.

Carding different types of fibres creates unique textures.

Laying out of the fibres are done either from the batts made with the carder or spread out by hand.

The basic process of felting involves using carded fibres, layering, fulling, rinsing and rolling out to size by hand
